TGIF

Today's Weight: 134.4

Yesterday's Weight: 136.4

Difference: -2.0

I'm happy about the loss and I am finally at where I was a week ago. TOM is threatening to arrive this weekend so I'm going to have to be extra careful not to go off the protocol.

Today's Weight: 136.4

Yesterday's Weight: 139.4

Day #25 VLCD

I lost a lot of the water weight I had gained from my weekend of gorging on dairy, nut and some gluten products. The swelling in my hands went down too. Hooray. It's still a long way from 125, especially when I'm already on day 25 of a round that was only going to be for 23 days. I'm still trying to have a positive outlook though. It could be worse. -3.0 for a day is great.

Positive Thinking

Today's Weight: 139.4

Last weigh in on 9/24: 134.4 lb

VLCD Day #24

Epic fail! Sometimes I think keeping to the 500 calories is impossible. I'm trying to keep a positive outlook on things. The weight gain has been my own fault because I go off the deep end and begin binge eating. Once I feel like there is no longer a glimmer of hope at keeping to the 500 calories I go crazy and eat my way up.

I keep telling myself I can do it. Focus! Focus! TOM can not defeat me. TOM will not defeat me!

Damn That Box of Cereal and Half Gallon of Milk

Today's Weight: 138.8 lb

Yesterday's Weight: 141.6 lb

VLCD #9

It is so very not worth it to cheat on this diet. I know this but some how I let myself be convinced by my inner hungry voice. "Don't be on the diet on weekends" my voice said. "You will lose it quickly, don't worry about rewarding yourself" my voice said again. And again and again and again. Eek! I have to admit up until Saturday I had been able to keep to the Phase 2 protocol. 5 days for me without cheating was a pretty big accomplishments since I have been unable to complete a round on phase 2 without some how losing is my will power before I lose the pounds. Part of the issue has been that I haven't kept to Dr. S's original suggestion to NOT EXERCISE while on Phase 2 and roller derby can really make a girl hungry! I went to practice on Thursday and by Saturday morning I was chowing down a bowl of cereal which later became a box of cereal. I know some people can stick to protocol and exercise without major setbacks but I'm not one of those gifted people.

It's ok though, I forgave myself and refocused on Monday and was rewarded this morning with a nice loss. I'm sure most if it is water retention due to the lactose since I'm also lactose intolerant but will eat my way past the cramping, gas and massive bloating. Ugg!

Surprisely enough I have kept to the protocal yet again today. I did however skip my roller derby practice on Monday and will be skipping it again on Thursday.

Reliable RX Pharmacy

When I decided to do another round this month I contacted my doctor and the HCG clinic had raised the price on HCG refils. $175 for a montly dose with supplies. It use to be $135 for refills. I know they only charge $25 for the HGC at our local pharmacy but without the monthly refil prescription from my local doctor I couldn't refil it. I knew people had some pretty positive experiences with ordering it online so I decided to give it a try. I was really scared it might not be the real thing or it might never get here. I searched various blogs and had a tiny bit of trouble narrowing it down to a website to order from. Preferably I wanted to purchase the HCG from a site recommended or suggested by a fellow blogger but didn't get around to posting and asking until I got overly anxious to place the order.

I ordered my HCG online from Reliable Rx Pharmacy. The HCG is ordered from outside the USA so it goes through U.S. Customs. My shipping box had a stamp from India on it. It was held for 16 days in New York which seemed like an awefuly long  time. I had to call the company a few times and their representatives were a little difficult to understand, there was definately a language barrier issue. Nevertheless the representatives were helpful, offered to resend my shippment or refund my money. I asked them to resend the shippment but the very next day I checked the USPS website and my loot had been given a blessing and released from the clutches of US Customes. :) I assume the company might have contacted them as the representative on the phone hinted at them doing so and they did not resend the shippment. Regardless of the delay and confussion I was satisfied with the product and so far it's been fine.

I did not order syringes though and did not realize I would need more sterile injection water to mix the HCG. I also did not realize that the 5000 i.u. vials only fit about 3cc of "water" and I needed to add 5cc.

Corion 5000 i.u.
Corion 5000 i.u.Similar in composition to: Novarel 5000 i.u
Generic: HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin)
Our Brand: Corion 5000 i.u.     Manufacturer: NA
Strength(mg): 5000 i.u
Pack: 1 Vial
Bonus: NA
Price: $19.00

I would have needed another vial to mix it in that was conducive to multiple injections, amber in color since HCG is sensitive to light, and glass due to it's reaction with plastic.

I ended up buying the syringes at Target Pharmacy for .10 cents a syringe. My order came out to $96 that included a $20 shipping charge with a USPS tracking number which I recieved in an email. To solve the vial issue I recalculated the amount of sterile water I added and fit it all into the vial it came in. I also ordered 4 vials of HCG for $20/piece but didn't realize it was cheaper to buy the vials in packs.

I decided to include all this information in a post in case someone was having a similar issue or needed a "heads up" on correcting the problems I had.

Does anyone care to share some personal experiences on suppliers and such? Do any of you have any sites you would recommend or caution me to stay away from? I'm sure some of you have blogged about this same issue, care to provide the link? Thank you all in advance.

No More "Pint Guy"- back on HCG

Today's Weight: 137.6 lb
Body Fat: 31.0 %

Yesterday's Weight: 139.0

Daily Loss/Gain: -2.0 lbs

Phase 2- Very Low Calorie Diet Day 5 (VLCD #5)

I hadn't updated my blog in a while because I tend to obsess more about my weight and end up stressing myself out. It's difficult to have a healthy outlook on weight loss when you become so self critical and totally focus on the digits on the scale. I understand that. But it's still hard to to do.

I began another round after gaining about 10 pounds. I was just a bit tired of "dieting" and decided to take a break. It was fine until our roller derby season ended and I stopped exercising all together. It was no surprise and I was not disappointed. I can truly say I enjoyed it. :) That's no good but true. Our local ice cream shop knew my husband as "The Pint Guy" because he always came in an ordered a pint at a time for me. He usually would bring it home at 10pm at night too. I think he was trying to not so secretly sabotage my "skinniness". My family really wasn't use to seeing me so thin 130-137 is very new to me. In fact, I wasn't use to seeing myself as a small person and once I hit a size 4 I began wondering if skinniness was right for me at all. That's odd I know. I just couldn't psychologically accept the size and kept messing with the amount of calories I would eat a day and the weight that would register on the scale vs. the image in the mirror. My ideal goal is to go be at 25% body fat or a little less to decrease my chances of diabetes. I use to take thyroid medication, insulin regulating medications and birth control to control my polycystic ovarian syndrome. Oh and I have endometriosis too. But to reach that goal I have to be about 125-130 lb, size 4 ish and eeeeekkk (in my mind) tiny. But when I started increasing my weight and increasing my fat percentage I ended up feeling some of my old symptoms and my medical issues seem to be returning. So I decided to eat. Pint Guy was welcomed with open arms! (Yes, I did eat a pint almost every 3-4 days... it gets expensive). Oh and chicken wings are gluten, dairy and nut free so they were welcome too. So I'm back now. No more Pint Guy.
