One thing I forgot to mention. A warning to others: don't go drinking with friends after loosing a lot of weight quickly. You won't be mentally and physically ready. I was use to drinking and metabolizing alcohol at a weight of approximately 170 pounds. I wore a size 10 pants. I had a high tolerance for alcohol too. 8-10 shots for a buzz and 11-14 shots for drunk. Now I'm 130 (appx) and wear a size 4 pants. I'm not use to being thin. I went out with my fellow roller girls for a few drinks and I had a pretty good buzz going after about 4 shots, gluten free Tito's vodka. 6 shots down and I was almost down. I thought it was some fluke thing. I hadn't started drinking socially again until I joined roller derby (imagine that). A couple of weeks ago, between rounds, we go out again and sure enough 6 shots down and I had more than enough. It also took a hell of a lot longer to wear off. Hours went by and I was still feeling the affects. Two things later dawned on me. Your liver takes a beating on the HCG. It's busy converting fat. Once your fat reserves are gone you get drunk easier. I use to always think those skinny girls couldn't hold their alcohol. OMG I was the skinny girl.
So if you've recently lost a significant amount of weight, you've stabilized (I hadn't) and are ready to re-introduce alcohol, do it at home with a trusted friend. You just might be the skinny girls that can't hold her liquor.
love it! I was there last year...well not iun the size 4s, but losts of weight loss and a little overboard in the drinking...oops. Good thing it was birthday and people had to forgive me :)
