Surprise Surprise!

Phase 3- Maintenance
Days on Phase 3: 14 days
Weight Today: 144.6 lbs
Weight Yesterday: 146.0 lbs
Loss (-) 1.4 pounds


To my delight and surprise I lost 1.4 pounds from yesterday. I got up and weighed myself and I kicked the weight twice just in case it was broken. I still took a diet pill yesterday because I had been a bit hungry lately. It took the edge off my hunger. I was sure to eat though. I had 3 eggs in the morning (with a tad of butter), chicken lightly fried in coconut oil and tofu with some zucchini. I had an orange and an apple for snacks. I'm forgetting what I had for dinner but something along the same lines. I'm NOT a cook so I don't do anything fancy! I've also been drinking water with a bit of lemon with my meals. I was told it helped with digestion and gastric acid. I also had a big spoonful of almond butter with an apple. From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm I played roller derby so I did have some exercise. I usually gain weight (water retention or muscle stuff) the day after so I was really surprised. 


I still have not gone back on my thyroid medicine, birth control (used for poly cystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis), or metaformin (used for insulin resistance). I haven't noticed any big drops in my sugar or felt dizzy during the day. However, my muscles around my shoulders and neck have been aching so much that I've been taking ibuprofen. I haven't injured myself, except last night I took a decent blow to the back of my head in derby. Damn floor. But I noticed the tightness and pain start a few days after I started Phase 3. I have continued to take Wellbutrin XL throughout all phases. We'll see if the neck pain get's any worse with time (and of course I'll try to avoid bonking myself). 


For all of those out there struggling with this diet, don't give up! You've have ups and downs, you'll 'cheat', you'll tell yourself this is ridiculous. Hell, other people will tell you this is ridiculous! But just keep at it. You can do it!
