Curse That Almond Butter

Phase 3 (Round 1), Day 17

I don't remember yesterday's weight but I think it was in the 145-146 lbs range. So I went up about 2 pounds! Curse that almond butter. Yes, I have to admit I've been hitting the almond butter kind of frequently. I'm telling you, it's like crack! And I think it upsets my stomach too but it's like an out of body experience. I walk towards the refrigerator and see that Cosco size jar and I have to unscrew the lid. Then, that's when it happens. It's like I hoover over my body screaming "noooooooo!" Then I see myself sticking a finger in, then a spoon and before I know it, almond butter is smearing an apple. I even lick the plate and walk around the house sucking on the spoon! Take the almond butter out of the fridge and throw it away? I can't! When I manage to control myself and only have one little teaspoon when ever I want something sweet it's a great treat. I tried making almond flour cupcakes. It just isn't the same. I'm still fighting my sweet tooth even after all this time. I have to admit it's not as bad. I don't crave cookies or chocolate. Just almond butter. I hated almond butter before the diet. I skated for 2 hours yesterday and skated 2 hours this morning. I hope a skated some of that almond butter away.

After roller derby practice the girls went out for brunch. I went with them and had my first "restaurant meal" since starting the HCG diet. I should have done a steak day today but his so much skating I get dizzy  and light headed. I ate a chicken fajita salad that only had lettuce, tomato, avocado, and cheese (along with the grilled chicken). I'm sure it had some hidden sugar in it either in the sauce that they marinated the chicken in or the cheese. But damn it, I was hungry and wanted to eat! Ug! Within half an hour I was making a mad dash to the restroom. I won't go into details but my body is not use to eating that stuff and didn't take it well. That's alright though, tomorrow is a new day!

  4. :( No almond butter cookies either..... oooo but how I would love to eat them! I finally figured out I'm nut intolerant.
