Up a tad- thank you TOM

Day #5 VLCD

No injection today

Yesterday I didn't keep track of what I ate so I couldn't update my blog. I became hungry pretty late, around 11 pm and drank a diet hot chocolate (25 calories). I also ate 3 pieces of cheese which add up to about an once of cheese. I stayed away from the halloween candy. TOM was spotted today though so I'm not very shocked at the .6 gain today. I also injected very late yesterday due to Halloween events. I was VERY hungry when I woke up this morning. I ate a medium bowl of Mesa cereal. I was craving the carbs. I'm sure TOM has something to do with that also. On the other hand, no dizzy spells today and very little to no hunger.

Breakfast
  medium-large bowl of Mesa cereal with milk

Coffee with 1/2 & 1/2 (appx 1 tsp), sweetened with Splenda (don't like coffee with stevia)

Lunch:
  1 orange

Other: 1 Coke Zero

Snack
  none

Dinner
  3.8 oz grilled chicken (no oil)
  3.5 oz of lettuce
  1 tsp of salsa

Other: 5 small regular M&Ms

Obviously there is a handful of no-no's in my daily food intake. If I begin to gain or stall I'll know why. I  think the M&Ms have enough milk to mess with my stomach though but otherwise I like the size of the sugar/chocolate fix. I'm not a person who's every stuck to the no-chocolate EVER portion of the HCG VLCD protocol. I must confess. I totally minimize the fact that I don't stick 100% to the protocol and then act shocked when I don't lose the weight I was wanting to lose. One of my goals this round is to be more aware of that type of thinking and cognitive dissonance and either accept it or actively change that behavior. I think it's important for long term weight management and maintenance.
