Round 3 VLCD ? (unsure how to count it after adding in a 2 week break)
Yesterday was our last roller derby bout of the year so we had brunch and I ate a lot of cereal in the morning. I'm glad I did because I played a lot! We were short players and I was playing almost constantly. I was loving my cereal and carbs. I think the HCG helped a lot also. I didn't feel tired and I felt I could keep going forever. It's been a different HCG experience after taking the 2 weeks off, eating carbs during the break, adding a few more calories to my VLCD (I guess it's really just a SlightlyVLCD- about 300 calories more) and eating breakfast. My breakfast has been 2 egg whites and a small bowl of gluten free quinoa/corn/flax cereal. Like before I'm hoping to phase out the cereal but only if I'm not overly grouchy or extremely light headed. I continue taking the potassium/magnesium supplement also. I've noticed the loss has been about the same if not a little less than with the strict VLCD on Phase 2 but it hasn't been as stressful and painful. It seems my body is adjusting much better this time because I would have really packed on some pounds if I had taken a break, even for just a day, on HCG before.
Unfortunately I think some of it has to do with me not eating nut, gluten or milk products during the break. I love milk. Nothing has tasted the same to me. Soy milk (not too good for you from what I hear), coconut milk, goat milk, or hemp milk. Almond milk is a no no of course. They are all good and I've learned to like the taste but it's not the same with cereal. It's the cereal that gets me.

8/29- VLCD 31: 136.8 (-1.0) Our final roller skating bout (game), Mexican style brunch with rice/beans/grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas, chips. VLCD used in a very loose terms... ok in totally imaginary terms.
