Thyroid and Round 3

Today's Weight: 144.4 lbs

Round 3 Phase 1 (Loading Day #1)

I decided to do it. Go for another round even though I didn't stabilize well on Round 2 Phase 3 or 4. I'm not totally understanding why I'm not stabilizing or maintaining well but I have a feeling my foods are too high in fats or I eat too many calories.

I loaded today. That's not difficult for me obviously and I tried to be somewhat careful because I don't want to spend the first 7 days trying to lose what I gained in 48 hours. I'm scared to get on the scale tomorrow. I know some people are lucky and the Diet Gods look kindly upon them and they even lose weight on loading days. I am not one of those people. I'm a sinner and the Diet Gods hate me.

Yellow. That's the color that comes to mind when I think of Phase 2. I always get yellow. My liver goes wacky. You'd think all these things would keep me from doing the HCG diet but no, I'm stubborn. I will get healthy even if it kills me! Lol

I know some of ya'll (Texas thing) have asked about my thyroid. I also ask myself about my thyroid. It never tests as abnormal though I was diagnosed with a goiter and nodules. I took T3 medication but stopped when I started the HCG back in Feb.

I haven't had my thyroid checked this year (2010) but my numbers were :
TSH 1.2 ( Normal Range 0.3-5.1)
Free T4: 0.85 (Normal 0.73-1.95)
Free T3: 4.2 (Normal 2.3-4.2)

The Free T3 was getting on the high side which is why I thought it better to get off the T3 medication. My doctor kinda lets me decide on course of treatment so I suggested thyroid meds and then suggested specific ones. Since I put myself on it I took myself off of it. Unfortunately I don't have a M.D. so practicing medicine on myself is very frustrating but I've noticed that doctors are not really into women's issues and hormones.

I've decided that these 2 loading days I'm going to eat the things I miss the most on HCG. I ate dark chocolate and fried sweet potato chips. I ate an asparagus basil salad too. It's not all chocolate. I'm hoping I'll get sick of chocolate and I won't think of it any more during P2 and P3! Fat chance. Hahaha.... I made a funny.

  3. Thank you for the links. I checked them out and I did have my thyroid scanned and the nodules measured. They're small enough for "observation" only category. I will have them rechecked again soon and see if that's not what is affecting my P3 and P4.
