Hunger and HCG

I had some comments on my last post that I think are good suggestions and good questions.

Do you have life caps or apple cider vinegar? Some claim life caps help curb their hunger. I personally take a swig of the ACV in water and that kills my appetite.

Good luck today!

- Thank you, I hadn't heard of the life caps. I will see if I can find them locally. I do have ACV (apple cider vinegar). How long does that stuff keep for? I've had it since round 1 back in Feb. I will try it though. Thank you for the suggestions!

I haven't experienced hunger at all and am wondering why you are? Is your HCG dosage correct? Could it be a quality issue? I could NEVER do 500 calories/day if I was hungry and experiencing blood sugar issues!

- This is not the first time I have heard of others never experiencing hunger on HCG. I think the dosage the first time around was off but the way I mixed it this time was 5 ml of saline (bactro stuff) to 5000 units of powder HCG. I got the HCG from my doctor directly from the pharmacy. I dosed 17 little marks on a diabetic syringe which is 3/10ths of 1CC. I hate math and never was any good at it but I think that's how you get the 170 units in the Dr. S protocol of 150-200. Does this sound right? Last round I ended up increasing and increasing the does until I got to a crazy amount 300 iu to ward off hunger and it didn't work. I'm not going past 200 iu this time. I have taken diet pills to curve my hunger every round. BUT with that said I have to take diet pills to keep the hunger monster away even when I'm not on the HCG. I am ALWAYS HUNGRY. I'm trying to increase my water intake to make sure it's not dehydration issues. I also do roller derby 4 times a week for about 2 hours at a time. That might have something to do with it also. But yes, you're right, doing 500 calories a day and being hungry is miserable. I pace up and down my house waiting to the time I can have a snack or eat. It sucks.

  1. I wish I could help with your dosing questions; I don't mix my own HCG, I get it pre-mixed from my ND. I feel like if I were experiencing what you're going through, I would think that I had developed an immunity to the HCG. I hope you find a solution that works for you!

  2. Thank you seattlerunnergirl. You do help though with your support. I got hungry on my first round and hungry when I'm not on HCG so I think it's me. My thyroid might be a huge factor also. Who knows. I'm hoping with less weight my thyroid will get better. Again, thank you for your support.

  3. Hi Meli,

Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog - I really appreciate it and all the support. I take the injections 5000 iu. I just mixed the hcg powder (Ovidon) with the bacteriostatic water and filled each syringe with 2.5cc. I have never tried the sublingual - it seems kind of complicated. How are you feeling now with the hunger. I am rooting for you that this will be a really good P2 for you. Keep posting the pics - you are so cute in them. To me, when I look at your pics you look really toned. It must be from all the roller derby. I cannot figure out how to post hyperlinks or pics. I have some research to do.

  4. I do experience some hunger on HCG occasionally, though it can be hard to tell if it's real hunger or just missing food, sometimes. Mostly not, though. When hungry, I've often eaten a pickle or some lettuce, and it usually doesn't cause bad results. I've also never mixed my own, hope you find out what works for you. Good luck!
